The sun had set long ago, plunging the islands into darkness. There was no moon to shed its silver light that night, though the stars still glittered like frost in the sky. In the center of a clearing somewhere within a dense forest, a patch of flowers slowly opened. They stretched their brilliant blue petals toward the stars and waited. They did not wait long as the stars began to grow brighter, closer. Soon the ferns along the edge of the clearing rustled, announcing the arrival of many cats entering the clearing from all directions. The silver glow of their fur was the only light as they padded forward gracefully, crowding close around the patch of flowers. As the clearing filled with glittering cats, a faint mist began to form above the blue petals. The mist thickened to a fog, twisting and swirling in disorderly patterns, despite the absolute stillness of the air. When no more lithe shapes emerged from the dark forest, and all eyes were fixed on the silvery cloud of vapor, it began to form clear images. The night air was frozen in silence. Not a word was spoken, not a whisker twitched among any of the gathered cats. Finally, the fog grew still, thinned out, and then dissipated completely. A rumble of uneasy muttering passed through the shining ranks. A pale gray cat with white stripes raised his voice above the others. "Cats of StarClan!" called the tom. "You have seen what is to come, the trouble that is just on the horizon. You know it is a fate we can not hope to stop. What shall be done about it?" "What else can be done, Fogstar?" asked a another tom, his fur a dark ginger. "We can only warn our decedents of the trouble, and hope they make the right decisions." Another gray tom, darker than the first, dipped his head. "It must be done soon. The clans need all the time they can get in order to prepare." "Nothing can prepare them for what is to come," snapped a pale she-cat. "They can at least try. So unless you have a better idea, Dawnstar..." The dark gray tom fixed the she-cat with an icy glare. She glowered back, but said nothing more. "Then it's agreed," the first tom announced, breaking the tension. As if at a signal, cats began to leave the clearing, padding away in all directions. The clearing became darker without the glow of the silver bodies. As the last cat left, the stars in the sky faded. The light of dawn soon overcame their dim glimmer. Sunbeams poured into the empty clearing, closing the petals of the blue flowers. Dawn had broken, and another day had come.

Rainstar padded into her den and sighed. Another day done. She lay there for a while watching the sky. It was very cloudy, and it was always humid these days. Suddenly, she caught a familiar scent... of a cat who had gone moons ago... no, it couldn't be possible. Yawning, she circled once and plopped down on her nest. Laying her head down, she closed her eyes and slept.
All was peaceful. Rainstar slowly opened her emerald eyes and stared in shock. One of the former leaders, Dawnstar, was standing before her. Rainstar blinked several times, taking the sight in. The white, spotted pelt and the amber eyes... it WAS really Dawnstar!!! Rainstar sat up and stammered, "Dawnstar! How are you? Er, do you need to tell me something?" Dawnstar padded forward, and licked Rainstar once. "Yes, there is," Dawnstar's amber eyes were serious and solemn, "Listen carefully, Rainstar. Something dark and dangerous approaches the Clans. This is the time to think carefully and not to be selfish or foolish. Look up at the sky, Rainstar. Look up at the sky."
Suddenly, Dawnstar disappeared and large and swirling storm clouds quickly blocked out the starry sky. Rainstar heard Dawnstar's voice in her ear, whispering, "It will come, raging from the heavens. Snow will be melted, water will be overcome, the sky will be smothered, and the forest will drown. But ice, liquid, wind, and leaves may fight back. Beware!"
Dawnstar's scent disappeared as Rainstar stared in horror as rain started pouring from the clouds, like a lake in the sky had been broken. The last thing she remembered was dark, ominous water swirling around her.

Shadestar circled his nest. He layed down, giving a loud yawn. What a day.. He rested his head and wrapped his tail around his paws. Yawning once more, he fell fast asleep.
Sudden blackness took him over. At first, he thought he was blind. He blinked a couple of times until his vision came clear. He was in the forest and he noticed that he was standing on Willow Bridge.Rain fell heavily, drenching his pelt with water and thunder crashing in the sky and lighting streaked everywhere. No doubt, there was a storm."What am I doing here?" He meowed. Just then, a spiritual figure padded up to him, it's dark fur glittering like the stars of silverpelt. Shadestar squinted his eyes, looking closely to see who this cat was. Shadestar's eyes widened with shock. It was Emberstar, the former leader of MossClan before him! "Emberstar! It's been moons since I've seen you!" he rasped. Emberstar blinked at him. There was a bit of sorrow in his eyes, and Shadestar knew there was something wrong."Shadestar...something terrible is going to happen. There is a hidden threat soon approaching. You must be ready, my former deputy, you must be ready."
Shadestar gulped. Emberstar began to vanish."No! You must tell me more! Emberstar, wait!" The thunder roared louder than ever. The wind howled and the moonlit sky darkened. The waves began crashing on the bride and it began rocking back and forth. Suddenly, Shadestar was thrown off by a massive wave and he plunged into the water. He coughed and gasped and he batted his paws at the water, trying to swim back to land, only to be swept farther and farther away. "No!!"
Shadestar blinked his eyes open. His eyes were still heavy with sleep, but Emberstar's words still echoed in his ears....something terrible is going to happen. There is a hidden threat soon approaching. You must be ready, my former deputy, you must be ready

OOC// Sorry I didn't post this until now. I thought I posted this a long time ago, but for some reason, it didn't work and I didn't check to see if it did. Anyway, thanks Flamestar! I really appriciate that! BIC// Dovestar rolled over in her den restlessly. Growling in frustration, she rose, nudged her grassy nest into a more comfortable position, and flopped down again. It was hopeless. No matter how much she willed sleep to come, the white she-cat just couldn't rest. Sitting up, she tried to figure out why. Something seemed...off. It wasn't something she could put her paw on, but something was definitely nagging the back of her mind. She poked her head out of her den, her green eyes surveying the camp, examining every shadow. All was quiet. Nothing was wrong, as far as she could see, but still Dovestar couldn't shake the feeling of foreboding. Maybe a quick walk around around the territory would ease her mind. She shook the clinging bits of nest from her fur and padded out of camp. She wasn't going anywhere in particular, but her wandering paws brought her to Starry Cliff. It was the highest part of ZephyrClan territory and provided a great view. From the top of the giant rock, Dovestar gazed out over her entire territory. The moon, nearly full now, cast its glow over the vast expanse of long grass, making it look like a sea of silver. A light breeze ruffled the leader's white fur. It swept in ripples across the grass, making it look more like a sea then ever. A sudden movement on the horizon caught her eye. It was a smudge of darkness, expanding rapidly. As she watched, the smudge grew into dark, foreboding clouds that rushed across the sky, blotting out the moon. The wind grew fiercer, tugging at her pelt and screaming past her ears. Lightning tore through the sky, illuminating the landscape. Dovestar looked down and gasped in horror as the sea of grass below her had transformed into a real sea. The once gentle ripples were whipped up by the gale into foamy, dark gray waves. The rain came, pelting down relentlessly. Her white pelt was soaked through in an instant and the wind chilled her to a bone. Suddenly, Dovestar heard a voice, as clearly as if there wasn't a violent storm crashing around her. "Snow will be melted, water will be overcome, the sky will be smothered, and the forest will drown. But ice, liquid, wind, and leaves may fight back." She whipped her head around, peering through the sheets of rain, trying to see who had spoken to her. "Wait!" she called into the storm. "How can they fight back? When is this coming? Tell me! Please, I need to know!" But her only answer was the howl of the wind. Dovestar woke suddenly and leaped to her feet, completely disoriented. She calmed down a little when she realized she was still on Starry Cliff and sky was calm, just on the verge of dawn. Her eyes darted to the horizon, but there wasn't a hint of the darkness from her dream. So ZephyrClan was safe for now. But for how long would that last? The voice, which she now recognized as Fogstar's, hadn't told her anything else. Just that it was coming, and there might be a chance to fight back. Maybe Smallsmoke could give her advice. She stretched out, stiff from sleeping on the cold stone all night, and traveled back to camp. OOC// Wow. Again I say wow. I really wasn't expecting it to be that long. It's just, I've had this scene really clearly in my head and I wanted everyone else to see it clearly too. And I really enjoyed writing it. Maybe I got a little carried away...
